Privacy & Children
How Happy Toons Studio looks after information. Designed with the UK GDPR and the ICO Children's Code in mind.

🧒 The short version for kids
- You don't need to sign up or tell us your name to watch or play.
- There are no ads and no cookies on this website.
- We only count how many visits each page gets. We don't know who you are.
- Your game scores stay on your own phone or computer.
- Please don't email us yourself. Ask a grown-up to help.
👪 For parents and carers, in short: no accounts, no ads, no cookies, no profiling and no selling or sharing of data for marketing. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Umami only for anonymous, cookie-free visit counts. Browser games save progress on your device only. We handle personal data only when a grown-up emails us or places an order, and we keep it to the minimum.
1. Who we are
This website, happytoonsstudio.com, is run by Happy Toons Studio, a small creative studio in the UK owned by Ayub Azizi, trading as Happy Toons Studio. We are responsible (the "controller") for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@happytoonsstudio.com.
2. Visiting this website
- No cookies, ads or tracking for marketing. We do not use advertising, social media pixels or cross-site tracking, and we don't build profiles of visitors.
- Anonymous visit counts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see totals such as how many times a page was opened, which page a visit came from, and the broad type of device, browser and country. Cloudflare says this tool does not use cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint visitors.
- Umami. We also use Umami Cloud, hosted in the EU, for the same kind of anonymous, cookie-free counts, including how many people are on the site right now. Umami does not use cookies and we only see aggregate numbers. The small "online now" number on our pages is read from these aggregate Umami counts; it shows a number only, never who is online.
- With both tools we only see totals, never individual people. We use them to learn which pages and games are useful (our legitimate interest in running a good website).
- Hosting. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and keep them secure. We cannot see these logs. See GitHub's Privacy Statement.
- Fonts and images are hosted with the site, so loading a page does not contact font or ad companies. The only outside scripts are the Cloudflare Web Analytics and Umami analytics scripts described above.
- No accounts, no chat, no forms on the studio pages. If we ever add another analytics tool, we will list it here before it goes live.
3. Our browser games
- Toonblade, خەلیفەکان (Khalifakan), بورجی خشت (Block Tower) and گوندی شارستێن (Sharsten Village) need no account. They may save things like your best score, settings, language or, for Sharsten, the whole village in your browser's storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it in your browser settings at any time. Sharsten’s own note is on its privacy page.
- Block Tower, a game for teens 15–18, has an optional, anonymous feedback note (a 1–5 rating and a short text). Sending is not switched on yet. What it would collect and how long it is kept is explained on the Block Tower privacy page.
- Our games have no ads, no in-game purchases, no chat and no location features.
- ToonyTaps is an Android app, currently in testing. Its privacy details will be shown on its Google Play listing when it is released.
4. When you email us
Emails sent to hello@happytoonsstudio.com are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to the studio's Gmail inbox (provided by Google). We receive your email address, name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to help with your request (our legitimate interest in answering you, or steps before a contract if you are asking for a quote). We don't add you to a mailing list.
Please don't send photos, surnames, addresses, phone numbers or school names of children. If something like that is sent to us by mistake, we will delete it.
5. Custom cartoon orders
Orders are placed by parents or adults (18+), on Fiverr or by email. For a story we only need a child's first name, age, a few favourite things and a description of how the cartoon character should look. No photo is needed. We use these details only to make the cartoon you ordered (to perform our contract with you).
Orders on Fiverr are also covered by Fiverr's Privacy Policy, and Fiverr handles payment. For direct orders we will tell you how payment works before you pay. We never see or store full card numbers.
6. Children's privacy
Our cartoons and games are made for kids, so we follow these principles from the ICO Children's Code:
- Best interests first. We design pages and games around what is good for children, not around collecting data.
- High privacy by default. Nothing about a child is collected to watch or play. There are no settings to switch off because nothing is switched on.
- Data minimisation. We collect only what we need, and only from grown-ups.
- No profiling, no ads, no nudges. We don't profile children, show ads, or encourage children to give information or stay online longer.
- No geolocation and no sharing. We don't track location and don't share children's data with anyone for marketing.
- Clear information. This page has a short version for kids at the top.
- Parental guidance. We show age notes on each game. Some games have cartoon combat, so grown-ups should check which games suit their child. Links to YouTube, TikTok, itch.io and Fiverr go to sites with their own age rules (most are 13+).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email hello@happytoonsstudio.com and we will delete it.
7. Who else processes data
We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. We use a few service providers to run the studio, and they process data under their own terms:
- GitHub (website hosting), Cloudflare (domain name, email forwarding and anonymous visit counts), Umami (anonymous visit counts, EU-hosted), Google (Gmail inbox for hello@happytoonsstudio.com), and Fiverr (orders placed on Fiverr).
- Some of these companies may process data outside the UK, for example in the United States, using the safeguards described in their own privacy policies.
8. How long we keep things
- Visit counts are kept as anonymous totals in Cloudflare and Umami.
- Emails and order details are kept only as long as we need them to help you and finish your order, and deleted on request. Records we must keep by law, such as payment records for tax, are kept for as long as the law requires.
- Block Tower feedback, if sending is switched on later: about 12 months, as explained on its privacy page.
9. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to: see the personal data we hold about you; correct it; delete it; limit how we use it; object to how we use it; or give you a copy to move elsewhere. Parents and carers can ask on behalf of their child. Email hello@happytoonsstudio.com. We will reply within one month. We may ask a simple question to check the request is genuine, but we will never ask for passwords.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
11. Changes to this page
If we change how we handle information, for example by adding a new tool, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change goes live.
12. Contact
